Company Profile

Since 1874, the Chas. G. Allen Co. has maintained its tradition of Excellence in the design and manufacture of precision machinery and machine tools. This long tradition of American craftsmanship has brought Allen exceptional manufacturing skill, technology, and capability and the work ethic of solid value. Located on a 30 acre site in Barre, Massachusetts, Allen has over 80,000 square feet of facilities in several buildings. The facilities include extensive production equipment including large capacity CNC machining centers, assembly and test equipment, deburring and surface finishing machines, painting and high bay manufacturing space. The company uses state of the art Computer Aided Design and integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing systems to enhance its capabilities. Completing the matrix of resources available to our customers and partners is the outstanding work ethic, productivity, and dedication to quality of the entire Allen organization.

Overview of Products and Services

 Products

  • Deburring, Edge Contouring and Surface Finishing equipment and systems, including the revolutionary Turbo Finish systems, Harper Centrifugal Barrel High Energy Finishing Machines - "Harperizers", and custom buff, brush and polishing equipment.
  • Conventional Machine Tools, including Allen and Cleereman drilling machines, Nichols milling machines and Norton surface grinding machines.
  • Custom Automated Machining Systems, including metal removal systems and assembly / test automation systems.

  Services

  • Contract Manufacturing - Manufacturing Partnerships in which Allen manufactures electromechanical products for other companies to their design.
  • Contract deburring and finishing services.
  • Field Service, renewal parts, and rebuilding / remanufacturing of all of the above products.

Strategic Alliances

Allen has, and is seeking additional, Alliances with other companies in the US and abroad which allow Allen's customers to capitalize upon the complementary technologies, manufacturing and distribution capabilities of our strategic partners. These partners include specialized design firms, designers and manufacturers of finishing systems..
